REMAIN S/S'25: the Idea of “Superbody”
“Superbody: clothes that construct and model the body. but also a body that begins to define its own structure. The garment is designed to give personality and power to individuals (...) fashion makes figures stand out from the background and constructs defined, confident lines. The female superbody is at its ease in the uniform of the career woman as well as in the costume of the sexy heroine”.

It is in the act of claiming ownership over the female form that a woman becomes her own heroine: a concept that has permeated REMAIN S/S 2025 collection. REMAIN spring-summer 2025 is the embodiment of the contemporary heroine; she is both analytical and emotive, decisive and reflective, confident and vulnerable. As such, no singular moment acts as the mood for the collection, rather a symphony of contrasting factors functioning as a cohesive entity of empowerment.
“The fitness culture of the 80s influenced the minimal, body-centric style of the 90s” - Martin Asbjørn, creative director, REMAIN.
Always starting his collections from a place of intuition and investigation, Asbjørn dived into the connection between two, seemingly, very different fashion eras and found their commonality to be that of power; power to shape and expose one’s body to highlight preferred attributes. Whereas the 80s extreme colors and oversized yet enhancing tailoring completely changed the female form, it also inspired the decade’s fitness culture. That in turn made the 90s woman ditch the eccentric 80s style for a more minimal and sleek way of dressing giving them the opportunity to display their sculpted physiques. In that intersection is where Asbjørn found his inspiration.
Asbjørn, a trained tailor, has intertwined the minimal and polished silhouettes of the 90s with the masculine and exaggerated tailoring of the 80s. Snatched waists, tailored shoulders and elongated shapes are infused with sheer and shiny fabrics. Silk organza remains purposefully translucent, simple tees & dresses have a gauzy thinness to them and pleated, transparent knitwear is reminiscent of origami.
The colour palette takes inspiration from it’s geographical roots. Much like a scandinavian summer sunset, the palette takes an ever-changing journey through a natural gradient of: rich chocolate brown, cinnamon red, salmon pink, dove grey and deep navy blue, with pops of creamy white hues.
Realising the contracts of the collection, the REMAIN spring-summer 2025 runway show takes place inside the urban warehouse space of Tap1, within which a majestic tent is constructed, formed from simply draped curtains offering softness against the raw exterior. Continuing their strong collaboration, a custom-made line of shoes by Anny Nord accompanies the garments – presenting a selection of refined pumps featuring an intriguing banana shaped heel. The classic footwear is mirrored in REMAIN’s selection of classic clasp handbags. Colours journey from baby blue, to stark white, charcoal grey and bright tomato red, formed from soft cow skin. Runway looks are further adorned with the sculptural jewellery of New York brand, Agmes, consolidating the collection.
