Founded in 2016 by three siblings, the French House of Polène creates leather goods that combine minimalism and creative expression in order to offer unique and signature shapes achieved through excellent craftsmanship.
In the Paris studio, the leather goods are designed in a refined and timeless style with a distinctly creative touch. The perceived suppleness and lightweight look of the models is only possible through intricate technical development mastered by the designers.
The leather, sourced exclusively from certified Spanish and Italian tanneries, is sculpted to create organic shapes, folds, draping, or weaving.
A delicate cloud
This season, Polène unveils the Béri Lif bag, offered in three summer color editions. The design is adorned with delicately hand-sewn leaves, crafted from upcycled leather, that unfold along a graceful, fluttering train. With every movement, they seem to drift and breathe, imbuing the piece with an airy lightness.
The palette includes an elegant Ebony brown, a soft pastel Polar blue, and a Porcelain hue – evocative of a cloud suspended in a sunlit sky.
Embroidered by hand and meticulously sewn around the bag, the leaves create a living design, giving the Béri bag a vibrant and sculptural silhouette.
Leather offcuts at the heart of the game
Plèi, a twist on the word “play” using letters from the name Polène, is a collection created from leftovers from other cut pieces, allowing leather offcuts to come into play. Mindful of minimizing waste, this circular approach is the new rule of the game.
