Moiré Gallery Milano Presents a New Limited-Edition Kimono Collection

Following the success of Moiré Editions 00 — the tailored triptych consisting of a skirt, jacket and vest — the project evolves with a new offering that confirms the vision of Moiré Gallery and its curator, Ouafa Lotfi Tahoun, in the fashion field.

Moiré Editions is the fashion division of Moiré Gallery Milano: a series of limited editions that translate the gallery's curatorial approach into exclusive pieces, crafted according to a more conscious production model aimed at eliminating overproduction and focusing on quality. These limited-edition pieces are the result of a blend of aesthetic research, functionality, craftsmanship and attention to detail, all in a responsible fashion vision.

The Moiré Editions 01 kimono collection consists of just 13 limited-edition pieces, one size and genderless. Designed to accompany the summer season, the kimonos are characterized by fluid lines, floral patterns and refined research on materials featuring pure silk and a precious blend of cotton and silk. The items are completed with a belt at the waist, which allows for different interpretations of the fit: left open, the kimonos stand out for their soft and light design, which follows movement naturally; closed and tied at the waist, they take on a more structured shape, playing with volumes and proportions.

An expression of careful craftsmanship and understated elegance, the Moiré Editions kimonos combine versatility and refinement, adapting naturally to different contexts and occasions: «I imagined the Moiré Editions kimonos – explains Ouafa Lotfi Tahoun, founder and curator of Moiré Gallery Milano – as pieces to wear at different times of the day and during trips. On vacation, they can be worn for a sunset aperitif or an elegant dinner overlooking the sea. Tailor made and upon request “Marrakech style” kaftans will also be presented.

Moiré Editions kimono collection 01 will be available in the gallery throughout the summer and will be officially unveiled on Thursday, June 18th with an invitation-only fashion show in the secret garden of Moiré Gallery Milano, in Via Borgospesso 18.
