Maison Valentino Reopens its Historic Flagship Store

The store has stood at the heart of Milan’s luxury district since 1969, the year it first opened with its original entrance on Via Santo Spirito 3, at the corner with Via Monte Napoleone. This was the boutique’s first location which, over the years, has undergone a series of evolutions and expansions, eventually becoming part of the current larger version, welcoming visitors from the entrance at number 20. From its earliest years, the space became a destination for international jet-set and a point of reference for the city.

Temporarily closed in 2025 for renovation, the store now reopens in a renewed guise. Spanning more than 1,170 square meters across three levels, the boutique features two distinct entrances dedicated respectively to men’s and women’s collections. On the ground floor of the historic number 20, visitors are welcomed into the Valentino Garavani women’s universe: here, Valentino Garavani handbags and small leather goods collections are showcased alongside Valentino Eyewear and Valentino Beauty creations. On the first floor, just after the stairs, the journey continues with Valentino Garavani women’s footwear and leads to the prêt-à-porter spaces. The second and top floor is dedicated to eveningwear, displayed in two spacious areas culminating in private rooms designed to offer exclusive experiences. Another entrance on Via Monte Napoleone opens onto the men’s universe: a complete journey through Valentino ready-to-wear and Valentino Garavani accessories collections. Here an internal staircase connects the ground floor with the upper levels, creating an architectural dialogue between the women’s and men’s spaces while preserving intimate areas.

To celebrate the reopening, the Valentino Garavani Vain handbag line is enriched with two new limitededition designs, available exclusively in the Milan store: the classic chain-strap model and a clutch with a leather-and-chain strap, both crafted in precious skin in a refined green shade.
