From Oslo to Copenhagen: Holzweiler’s Emotional AW26 Journey

Holzweiler returns to Copenhagen with their Autumn/Winter 2026 show - a moment that feels both reflective and forward-looking. While the brand was founded in Oslo, Copenhagen is where Holzweiler’s international journey first began, making this return deeply personal.

Sixteen years on from their runway debut, and first collaboration with Moon, this collection marks the homecoming return of Holzweiler’s physical shows. “Coming back to Copenhagen Fashion Week feels very personal to us. Copenhagen is where our international journey first took shape. Returning here feels like more than just showing a new season - it feels like coming back to an important chapter of our story - allowing us to reconnect with our extended creative community and the Scandinavian values that have always shaped who we are.” - Co-Founder and Creative Director, Maria Skappel Holzweiler.

Across womenswear and menswear, the Autumn/Winter 2026 collection is guided by the idea of preservation, explored in a human and emotional way. Inspired by how memory works, the focus is on what remains rather than what is loud - the atmosphere, the feeling, the traces left behind. Moments after shared experiences become references: the calm after a dinner party, what’s left on the table, the sense of time spent together. Preservation here is not about holding onto the past, but about caring for what matters. This is the natural next chapter progression from the brand’s Spring/Summer ‘26 tablescaping narrative. Speaking to the packing away of food and storing of special memories made around the table alongside community and loved ones.

Preservation isn’t about holding onto the past, but about caring for what matters. Through wrapping, layering, and protective gestures, this collection is a physical exploration of how we protect the things that matter, and how we hold onto what feels important to us. Looking at the world today, this theme feels more relevant than ever. Silhouettes gently cover the skin, with fabrics that drape and fold and move fluidly in tune with the body, rather than sitting rigidly; referencing archival methods of concealment, protection, and care. With innovation and responsibility at its heart, the collection features versatile pieces made to last, that people can truly live in; the art of preservation is translated through the exploration of brand new fabrications and textures for the brand.

The show will take place at the historical Vandflyverhangaren - a former seaplane hangar that was later reworked by Danish architect Dorte Mandrup into a creative hub. The space becomes a vessel for memory; this marks the first time the space has been used as a fashion show venue, making it a natural setting for a collection centered on memory and preservation. The set design fully inhabits the architecture, with large, soft curtains and a strong light composition designed by Jesper Kongshaug, transforming the space into an immersive environment.

This return to Copenhagen is also a reunion. The brand has tapped into the expertise of fellow Norwegian powerhouse, Magnor Glassverk for the exploration of glassware. Creative direction is led by Moon, with styling by Fran Burns and casting by Madeline Østlie. Together with a cast of strong, individual characters on the runway, the show becomes a collective expression shaped by trust, shared history, and collaboration - values that have always been central to Holzweiler.
