Framing is the desire to collect frames of different cultures and people, in an interconnected and barrier-free world, in which richness is given by the value of diversity.

Framing is inspired by multiple cultural patterns to express a style that encompasses essences from different countries: from jacquards that tell of the traditions of Peru, to a more urban and contemporary style that speaks of megacities like New York and its beating heart Manhattan. The Malo Cashmere autumn winter collection is therefore aimed at globetrotters who bring in their suitcase garments from all over the globe and which are part of their lifestyle, thus embracing all cultures with harmony and a spirit of inclusiveness.

The new collection celebrates the brand's timeless elegance and distinctive innovation, celebrating over 50 years of yarn couture history as an ode to mastery and craftsmanship. Renewing the craftsmanship in which Malo Cashmere has always been a leader, this collection offers a tribute to the past, revisiting the iconic elements of the maison with modernity.

With a careful eye on tradition and a vision for the future, Malo presents a symphony of colours, volumes and textures that not only reflect its rich artisan heritage, but also capture the attention of a contemporary audience. The commitment to timeless elegance thus translates into a collection which, while embracing the history of the maison, is aimed, with freshness and style, at a modern citizen of the world, refined and cosmopolitan, ready to embrace different cultural frames in the name of high manufacturing and with an eye to sustainability and well-being given by natural fibres, the core of the brand.

FOR HER

From pure cashmere to Suri alpaca, from virgin wool to fine cashmere, silk and alpaca blends, passing through super light merino and felted wool with a boiled wool cloth effect, the women's proposal is made with noble and precious materials, in the use of which there is a need to minimize the shapes to achieve a maximum level of quiet luxury and sophisticated seduction. As always in the Malo philosophy, the cult of quality is emphasized as the constant matrix of the final garment.

Garments with soft and welcoming shapes alternate with garments with cleaner and more squared lines. Strong and decisive colors such as blues and fuchsias peek out among neutral and natural shades. Urban looks such as pinstripes and more rigorous blues and whites alternate with bold looks with large knitted braids or precious material and three-dimensional workmanship. The metropolitan style, elegant and sophisticated from morning until evening, also gives way to loose-fit proposals up to leisurewear and sporty -chic suits.

Many different yarn techniques are proposed, underlining the absolute mastery of Malo Cashmere: from sweaters with three-dimensional effects, to patterns ranging from jacquards reminiscent of Peru to others reminiscent of the East. Northern European-inspired boiled wool sweaters up to basic sweaters with a modern and metropolitan effect. The soft bouclé yarn with a teddy effect, up to the fur stitch, a particular stitch that reproduces the soft effect of fur. And also, cable knits for loose-fitting sweaters, all-over micro-braids, micro and macro stitches, flat ribs with shifted motifs, English ribs in particular on the wide collars, up to the inevitable super light double knit, Malo's stylistic signature.

For outerwear: long single-breasted and double-breasted coats in wool cloth and double cashmere, oversized down jackets with super light cashmere padding, trench coats with an elegant effect, jackets with biker collars and smooth-haired merino shearling parkas.

The trousers are made of flannel, wool cavalry as well as the cargo with a comfortable line, leggings in stretch fabric stitch, regular trousers with a straight or masculine line, flared and pencil skirts.

Pinstriped jacket and trouser suits, with a tailored construction, dresses with a marked waistline with a shirt construction and a hugging skirt below the knee or with drapes, blue and grey striped shirts and, in some cases, also doubled two-tone shirts.

The accessories complete the women's offering with scarves, gloves, belts with the iconic Malo weave and knitted bags.

FOR HIM

The men's proposal is an ode to the elegance, comfort and timeless style that has always been celebratory of the maison. The collection is inspired by the maison's distinctive heritage, with a contemporary interpretation and an approach to quiet luxury, that is, a luxury to be worn naturally, offering a concrete style characterized by a complete wardrobe without seasonality or occasion of use.

The new shapes, softer and not excessive, reassuring and typical of a high-quality garment, are combined with an informal color palette, ranging from neutral shades of white, butter, ivory, beige, caramel to greys combined with the color ochre, up to the classic blue and black, expressing a versatile style, suitable for different occasions.

For this collection, Malo has used many heritage stitches, such as the two-tone piquet, up to the revisitation of the iconic cable stitches, an authentic expression of Malo's distinctive craftsmanship. The culmination is reached with the innovative use of the sponge stitch which creates a raised striped design, underlining the three-dimensionality of the fabric, enriched by exclusive plays of colour. The collection further stands out thanks to handmade embroidery, aran weaves, English ribs, checked jacquards - micro and macro - and geometric designs obtained through the fusion of fine fibers such as alpaca, silk and wool.

Another cardinal element re-proposed in this collection are the seamless sweaters, a timeless icon that has distinguished Malo Cashmere for over 50 years. Presented in pure cashmere yarn with an English Shetland effect, this particular weave, characterized by mélange shades and a vaporous effect, creates a casual appearance, confirming the maison's continuous ability to reinterpret the classics in a contemporary key.

The emphasis on innovation is evident through the use of performing fabrics used for technical outerwear. The jackets made with waterproof, wind proof and breathable materials ensure not only impeccable style, but also complete protection against atmospheric agents. The duvets have an innovative design thanks to an exclusive pattern created by heat sealing. Made of super light nylon and knitted parts, the down jackets integrate harmoniously with the knitwear offering, creating a perfect combination of style and versatility, guaranteeing warmth and lightness. Another novelty is the technical jersey, a versatile fabric used in a shirt model, antibacterial, breathable and no- iron , which combines practicality and style.

Luxury passes through sustainability:

The new Framing collection presents a wide range of garments made respecting the environment and animal welfare, following a sustainability-oriented fashion idea.

The wool is RWS certified (Responsibly Wool Standard) and the alpaca is RAS certified (Responsible Alpaca Standard). The RWS and RAS certifications ensure that on the farms involved, sheep, mohair goats and alpacas are treated according to the five freedoms of animals, ensuring a dignified and respectful living environment. Furthermore, these standards pay particular attention to land management, with a continuous commitment to improve its sustainability.

Another relevant element, for several collections now, is represented by garments made of regenerated cashmere. The yarn used for these garments is composed of 50% regenerated cashmere, coming from garments carefully separated by color, macerated and trimmed. The other 50% consists of a new cashmere staple, which contributes to the stability of the color and the final result of the garment. This yarn is certified according to the GRS (Global Recycle Standard), guaranteeing that more than 20% of the fibers are recycled. This practice not only significantly reduces the consumption of resources such as virgin raw materials, water and energy, but also contributes to a longer life cycle for cashmere, promoting circularity and sustainability in the fashion industry.

Furthermore, Malo chooses Cradle to Cradle certified supplier companies. This certification attests to the commitment to the production of safe, circular and responsibly-made products. The Cradle to Cradle standard offers a path of continuous improvement, thus ensuring that Malo garments are designed for a healthy, equitable and sustainable future. This standard is used globally by designers, brands and manufacturers to contribute to a more sustainable world through responsible manufacturing.
