Dior Parfums Presents Limited-Edition Cuir Saddle Case Inspired by the Saddle Bag

Creating a leather fragrance means embracing the history and foundations of perfumery. The temptation to enliven tradition, question the classics, and reinvent identity is ever present. With Cuir Saddle, Francis Kurkdjian sought to become part of this ancestral legacy while also renewing it.

Imagined by Francis Kurkdjian as a soft and sensual leather, Cuir Saddle disrupts the codes of the leather accord in perfumery, echoing the Dior It bag that reinterpreted leather in the 2000s. This fragrance reveals luminous facets of white flowers, elevated by light woods. Soft and sensual, it melts into the skin in an organic, body-to-body embrace. Like the Saddle bag, the fragrance becomes an extension of the body—a trompe-l’œil leather worn like a second skin.

A Modern Leather Fragrance

Cuir Saddle’s trail unfurls a woody-floral silhouette infused with a leather accord. White flowers brighten the light woody notes, evoking the sensation of supple leather gently caressing the skin. The iconic Dior Saddle bag inspired Francis Kurkdjian to create a trail that embodies its singular audacity. The fragrance is a sensual extension of the body, inspired by the Saddle bag, which is worn close to the skin.

“The Saddle bag is an extension of the body. You slip it under your arm and it becomes one with your body. I took my inspiration from the feeling of leather on skin—fused with the skin, caressing the skin,” says Francis Kurkdjian, Perfume Creative Director.
