Andreas Moskin S/S'24 collection: 'A Bigger Splash'

Andreas Moskin are introducing their Spring/Summer collection. The release is inspired by A Bigger Splash, an iconic artwork by David Hockney, whose work is famous for vivid, often saturated colors, innovative approaches to art-making, and the author’s exploration of perception and space.

Just like the painting, the collection brings vibrant colors like pink and yellow into the spotlight. By incorporating pink into the designs, Andreas Moskin create a visual representation of the fresh and joyful spirit of spring. The brand makes an accent on colorful tailoring, demonstrating a certain departure from tradition.

The sharp silhouettes and unusual construction mimic the composition’s clean lines and the dynamic movement of the splash. Inspired by Hockney’s signature playful and expressive nature, Andreas Moskin add a sense of fun and freedom by incorporating surprising design solutions like deconstructed or no-collar blazers, extravagant palazzo pants, and bermuda shorts. Despite that, some space is left for more classic pieces that are the brand’s core.

One of the keynotes of the collection is exaggerated shoulders. To achieve the special form conceived the brand’s technologists create the shoulder pads by hand. While coming up with a collection the craftsmen make up to five mock-ups of each garment. Bermuda shorts offer a modern interpretation of classic summer attire, with a tailored yet relaxed fit perfect for both casual outings and more refined occasions, available in patterned and pink colors.

The fabric used to create each suit is a mix of silk and wool and the customers get a lifetime warranty for every piece. That’s why Andreas Moskin claim that they don’t sell clothes, but a lifestyle.
